The ETS intercooler is the easiest way to improve power by eliminating heat soak which drastically affects the performance of your vehicle. Maybe a larger aftermarket makes this edge case more likely, it probably does since you having more cooling ability and surface area to condense on internally, but like you've said there's no evidence. I've also not seen reports of people removing the blanking plate from their factory cars and suddenly having engine failure so I'd suggest it's so much of an edge case that you tend not to see it in normal driving. True, there isn't but you don't know the conditions that surrounded seeing the condensation problem on the factory one. ![]()
